This document describes the installation and configure the inwprint HylaFAX to work with the BarNet DeskFax server.
The latest version of the software can be downloaded from the official download-site.
Step by step. If you are asked for a password, keep in mind that this is the same password you use for the BarNet dial-in service and the POP3/IMAP server.
Double-click on the icon to start the installation, and press next here.
Click Install here.
And Finish here.
The installation is complete, time to add a new printer.
Double click on the Add Printer icon and Next in this screen.
Create a local printer.
Create a new port, and choose the Winprint Hylafax port there.
Name the port HFAX1:
Choose a printer type, which should be a PostScript printer. Recommended is the the Apple LasterWrite 16/600 PS. Other printers on your own risk (don't do it)
Name the printer, for example "BarNet DeskFax via WinPrint". Don't set it up as the default printer (mistakes are made easily and will be charged)
Do not share the printer with others.
Do not print a test page. There are a couple of things which have to be configured before this can be done.
Windows thinks we're finished.
But we have to change some more settings.
Choose the ports tab, and select Configure Port.
Fill in the following values:
Now print a page, from for example your webbrowser. Select the BarNet DeskFax via WinPrint driver.
Fill in the fax number you want to send it to.
Once the document is printed, a small dialog box comes up. An email will arrive later when the document is faxed.
